    The BookAClinic verification badge

    A small image you can place on your own website that shows your registration has been checked against the Ministry of Health LCP Register. Patients can click it to see the full record. It costs nothing, and it keeps itself up to date.

    Why patients can trust it

    • It reads the registry, not our opinion. The badge is generated from the MOH LCP Register record for that doctor.
    • It cannot be bought. There is no paid tier. Listing status is the only thing that decides what the badge says.
    • It cannot be faked. The image is served by BookAClinic and always links back to the doctor page holding the same record.
    • It updates itself. We re-check the register monthly. If a record changes, every badge on every website changes with it.

    The badge states a registry fact, never an endorsement. It says "LCP Registered" and "Verified against the MOH LCP Register". It never claims MOH approval or certification, because that is not what a register entry means.

    How to add it to your website

    Open your doctor page on BookAClinic, find the "Get your badge" section, choose a shape, and copy the one line it gives you. Then follow the step for your website type. The example below shows the shape of the code; always copy the version from your own page so the name and record are yours.

    Plain HTML website

    Paste the line into your page source where you want the badge to appear. Nothing else is needed.

    WordPress

    Edit the page, add a block, search for Custom HTML, and paste the line inside it. Do not paste it into a normal paragraph block.

    Elementor

    Drag in the HTML widget and paste the line there. Update the page.

    Wix

    Add an Image element, choose "Add image from URL", paste the PNG address from your badge section, then set the image link to your BookAClinic doctor page.

    Squarespace

    Add an Image block the same way with the PNG address, then set its clickthrough URL to your doctor page. If you prefer, a Code block accepts the HTML line as it is.

    Shopify

    Edit the page in the admin, switch the description editor to Show HTML using the <> button, and paste the line. For a footer or sidebar, use a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor.

    Where to place your badge

    • About or Our Doctors page, next to the doctor's bio. Recommended. This is where patients go when they want to know who will treat them, so the check lands exactly where the question is asked.
    • Homepage, near the doctor introduction. Good. First-time visitors form their trust impression here, and the badge is read as part of the introduction rather than decoration.
    • Treatment pages where the doctor is named. Good. A patient reading about a procedure is deciding on a person as much as a treatment.
    • Site footer. Use the compact strip. The single-line version reads like a signature and sits quietly under every page without competing with your content.
    • Social profiles and posts. Use the square. It is sized and spaced to stay legible as an Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp profile image or post.

    One badge per doctor, placed in context, beats the same badge repeated on every page. Repetition reads as advertising; a badge next to the bio of the doctor it belongs to reads as a fact a patient can check.

    If something looks wrong

    The badge is not showing at all.

    The code was almost certainly pasted into a visual or text editor instead of an HTML block, so it is being shown as words rather than run as code. Move it into a Custom HTML block, HTML widget or Code block. Also check the line was copied whole, from the first <a to the last >.

    The badge is amber and says "Not currently listed".

    That is the badge working, not breaking. It means the current MOH LCP Register data we hold does not show an active listing for that record. Check your own entry with the Ministry, and once the register is updated the badge will follow at the next monthly check. If you believe our copy of the record is wrong, tell us from your doctor page and we will re-check it.

    The badge is grey and says the status is temporarily unavailable.

    A short interruption while we reach the register. The badge stays a badge rather than turning into a broken image, and it returns to normal by itself.

    Do I have to pay for it?

    No. The badge is free for any practitioner listed in the MOH LCP Register, whether or not you work with us in any other way. There is nothing to buy and no way to buy a better one.
